The Notion of Vertex Operator Coalgebra and a Geometric Interpretation

چکیده
The notion of vertex operator coalgebra is presented and motivated via the geometry of conformal field theory. Specifically, we describe the category of geometric vertex operator coalgebras, whose objects have comultiplicative structures meromorphically induced by conformal equivalence classes of worldsheets. We then show this category is isomorphic to the category of vertex operator coalgebras, which is defined in the language of formal algebra. The latter has several characteristics which give it the flavor of a coalgebra with respect to the structure of a vertex operator algebra and several characteristics that distinguish it from a standard dual – both will be highlighted.

Constructions of Vertex Operator Coalgebras via Vertex Operator Algebras
The notion of vertex operator coalgebra is presented which corresponds to the family of correlation functions modeling one string propagating in space-time splitting into n strings in conformal field theory. This notion is in some sense dual to the notion of vertex operator algebra. We prove that any vertex operator algebra equipped with a non-degenerate, Virasoro preserving, bilinear form give...
متن کاملA supergeometric interpretation of vertex operator superalgebras
Conformal field theory (or more specifically, string theory) and related theories (cf. [BPZ], [FS], [V], and [S]) are the most promising attempts at developing a physical theory that combines all fundamental interactions of particles, including gravity. The geometry of this theory extends the use of Feynman diagrams, describing the interactions of point particles whose propagation in time sweep...
متن کاملVertex Coalgebras, Comodules, Cocommutativity and Coassociativity
We introduce the notion of vertex coalgebra, a generalization of vertex operator coalgebras. Next we investigate forms of cocommutativity, coassociativity, skew-symmetry, and an endomorphism, D∗, which hold on vertex coalgebras. The former two properties require grading. We then discuss comodule structure. We conclude by discussing instances where graded vertex coalgebras appear, particularly a...

The theory of vertex (operator) algebras has developed rapidly in the last few years. These rich algebraic structures provide the proper formulation for the moonshine module construction for the Monster group ([B1-B2], [FLM1], [FLM3]) and also give a lot of new insight into the representation theory of the Virasoro algebra and affine Kac-Moody algebras (see for instance [DL3], [DMZ], [FZ], [W])...
متن کاملSome properties of the parametric relative operator entropy
The notion of entropy was introduced by Clausius in 1850, and some of the main steps towards the consolidation of the concept were taken by Boltzmann and Gibbs. Since then several extensions and reformulations have been developed in various disciplines with motivations and applications in different subjects, such as statistical mechanics, information theory, and dynamical systems. Fujii and Kam...
